詩篇 16:11 祢必將生命的道指示我

伟大的诗人屈原曾写下那句大家耳熟能详的诗句：”路漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索”。虽然这是一个崇高的目标，但遗憾的是，这条路对他来说太难了。最后，正如诗篇 16:4 所说：“以别神代替耶和华的，他们的愁苦必加增“。屈原悲伤的加增是因为他追随其它“神”——他的国家是他的“神”。但我们可以从屈原学到教训。

藉著上帝的恩典，生命的道已向我们显明，我们就在其中。而这生命的道就是藉著信耶稣。希伯来书鼓励我们坚守信心说，既然生命的道已向我们显明，“我们就当放下各样的重担，脱去容易缠累我们的罪，存心忍耐，奔那摆在我们前头的路程，仰望为我们信心创始成终的耶稣。” （来 12:1-2）因此，我们可以满有信心地说 ”吾将上下而求索”，知道上帝向我们指示的道路不是屈原那样引向死亡，而是带领我们往永生天堂与父上帝一起。

祷告：主上帝，我与大卫一起宣告：“祢是我的主，我的好处不在祢以外。”因为祢是一切美善的源头，主啊，我会把祢放在第一位。藉著祢的灵坚固我对祢儿子的信心。让我满有喜悦地在你为我所预备的道路上奔跑，阿门。

Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life

The great poet Qu Yuan once wrote that all familiar line: 路漫其修遠兮，吾將上下而求索。Qu Yuan declared, “the road to save my country is long and arduous, but I have determined to press on.” While a noble goal, the road sadly proved too difficult for him. In the end, as psalm 16:4 says, Qu Yuan’s sorrow increased because he chased after other ‘gods.’ In this case his country was his ‘god.’ But we can learn from Qu Yuan.

By God’s grace we have been shown the path to life. We are now on it. The way to life is through faith in Jesus. The book of Hebrews encourages us in our faith saying, since we have been shown the way of life “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” (Heb. 12:1-2) Therefore, we can say confidently 吾将上下而求索, knowing that the path God has shown us will not lead to death, as Qu Yuan’s did, but will lead to life eternal with our Father in heaven.

Prayer: Lord God, I declare with David that “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” Because you are the source of all goodness, I will put you first, Lord. Strengthen my faith in your Son by your Spirit. And fill me with Joy as I run the race you have set out for me. Amen.
